Today was so warm. In the morning I worked out with shorts and a t-shirt only and was still hot. We did 3 sets of what I'd describe as the "classic Jack Daniels fartlek," 2 minutes on, 1 minute rest, 1 minute on, 30 seconds rest, 30 seconds on, 30 seconds rest, repeat. 3 sets was just the right amount. Two felt easy but the third one put some fatigue in my legs. The point was just to run something quick... not to get anything else in the bank. Justin made a run at staying with me so that was nice to have some extra push. I tried starting behind him so I'd have to chase him, that made it pretty good too.
In the afternoon I ran from school to the house to drop off my stuff and take off my shirt, then did my normal school loop backwards. It was hot and I wanted to slow down. I'd like to start moving towards progression runs, but today that didn't happen. It was nice to be in such warm weather; it may have been 70. I will have to pay extra attention to my hydration now that it's going to be warm.
