Today was a track day for everyone. Bob and Justin went to the track this morning and I ran over there with them. I didn't workout though; I just did an easy 5 miles. My legs were really cold the entire time, so I'm glad that I didn't workout with them.
Walker-Grant went to the track for the first time today, so I went there to help for my 2nd day of volunteering. Those middle school kids are better off now that they've learned all I know about the long jump...
Then Tim and I did a workout; the last real one before Shamrock. 2 mile warmup, 3 sets of [1000@race pace, 600 rest, 4x200 fast/200 rest, 600 rest], then another 1000@race pace, 200 rest, 2 mile cool down. It was really good. My goal was 3:26/km (5:30/mile), and I hit 3:13, 3:15, 3:14, 3:13. The 200s felt fast and easy. My right hamstring was getting a little tight in the third set of 200's, but it may have been from running so many laps and the temperature dropping so much. It was fun though, I rarely get to do a workout with someone, especially someone 10 seconds ahead of me.
I got in 12 from the workout, 5+ this morning, so at least 17 for the day. Tomorrow I should be nice and sore for a morning run.
