I was so worried about sleeping in this morning. I was in bed at 7:48pm. I woke up at 1am and again at 3:30am, but fell back to sleep each time and slept until my alarm. It was pretty cold. For some reason the weather wasn't showing up, but I saw that it was close to freezing. I went with shorts anyway.
The run was pretty uneventful. I made it the whole loop, encouraging Bob to keep going by promising to slow down and likely die a slow, painful death upon our arrival on the canal path. We did slow down. When we were finishing up I told them I expected 8:10 pace. At the time I was averaging 7:50 pace, so not too far off when you're going that slow.
Driving home, my knees hurt a little. I don't know if it's because of the new shoes, the shoes in general, or just being on pavement. We'll see. Sitting around tonight I should be stretching but I'm not.
Go Stanford!
