Alarmed

My alarm was set to go off at 4:10am today to go running. It didn't. It went off at 5:10am. But it went off yesterday at the correct time and woke me up to run at 8:00am. So I don't know what happened. I was pretty confused. I checked my watch and it said it was 5:10am also. So what's the deal? I got back in bed because there wasn't much point in being awake... I couldn't get a run in between then and having to shower. I have duty this week so I have to be at school early.

I'm even further alarmed because Matt and I are going to Chevy Chase, Md to see Haile Gebreselassie, the world record holder in the marathon. Yesterday he dropped out of the ING New York City Marathon with a knee injury, and in the press conference afterwards he retired It makes me wonder, nay, worry, about what this means for the PR even that was going to take place. We'll see.

I went to the YMCA to lift yesterday with Bob and Scott for the first time since September 26. It was not easy. They were doing various different things, like pull-ups and military press. Pull-ups were even more embarrassing than when I first started doing dips. I was able to do dips still, surprisingly, but it will take time for pull-ups to become a regular occurrence for me.
