I spent a majority of this week running to the slavery museum and back, so I didn't find it worth writing about. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday all went there, though on Saturday I did go run through campus afterwards to get in 10 miles with Tim. He kept going for his long run, and I was jealous. I had to go home to see Jack and Grace leave and then go to Pat's wedding.
There was a lot of traffic, but we made it to the church on time and then the reception. It was at a very nice marina or yacht club, not sure what you'd call it, but it had a lot of sail boats.
We had a very nice time. The weather was close to perfect, the food was good, we danced and talked and ate and drank. At the end of the night, we left the car and walked back to our hotel. I slept in much later than I expected (8:20) and didn't get Matt's email about running at 7:30 in time to meet him. We wanted to avoid traffic, so I bagged a real run and just ran the mile to get the car so we could drive home.
I may run later this evening, but right now it feels like 98 degrees, so I'm inside.
I'm going to try to run more mileage this coming week without getting hurt. I just need to make the jump.
