Heat Stroke

I didn't go this morning. It felt like it was 100 degrees in the bathroom and thought I was going to die. I didn't feel well at all. I knew I'd regret it as it was going to be over 90 in the afternoon. Tim texted me during the day about meeting him, so he came to my house after book group in the middle of his 15 mile run.

We ran 7+ together downtown from my house, finishing at his car on Hanover. I was struggling after about 3 miles. It was so hot. I haven't run in anything much hotter than the low 70s. It wasn't even the pace that bothered me, I was just so hot. Most of the time I looked at my watch, we were running in the 6:00s, but I guess I started slower and then faded badly. Fortunately Tim wasn't looking for anything faster.

The rest of the day my arms were tingly and my legs were very sore. I'm glad I drank as much water as I did today at school, but more would have been better.

I will have to go tomorrow morning. I can't handle another hot afternoon run yet, and I'm going to try to lift.
