Southern Shores

I slept like a dead person last night. The ocean was rough but warm, so I spent a lot of time in it yesterday getting beat up. I needed some rest, and I probably could have slept for another hour or two. But I got Graham up and we went out in low 80 degree weather for an easy 8. We went into the Southern Shores neighborhood to try to get some shade, which was nice. The first mile was slow (7:30) but then we hovered around 7:00 for the rest of the run. Once we got back onto Duck road though, we picked it up a lot. At the end of the street we were 6:05 when I looked. The last mile was 6:21 and felt like jogging.

I got just under 70 miles this week, and last week was close too. This week will be a bit of a down week with no long run and no workouts, but then I'll bounce back before school starts.
