I slept in again this morning, so running this afternoon was my first run since Sunday morning-- so 52 hours of rest. Hopefully I didn't taper for tomorrow!
Tim and I met at the track this afternoon to do a short ladder; 200, 400, 600, 800, 600, 400, 200. The goal pace was marathon race pace (41, 1:22, 2:05, 2:45) with equal recovery, but I ran much faster. 32, 1:08, 1:51, 2:25, 1:46, 1:06, 28. It felt fine. On the last 200, I was really getting after it, but didn't push it to the line. I just couldn't go slower, with Tim right in front of me. I was almost close enough to be drafting.
It was fun though, and it was nice to be finished in under an hour but still get in some work.
