First of all, I had no idea it was daylight savings time. It's a good thing my phone is on satellite and that I never looked at any other clocks today because I wouldn't have known what happened.
I got to Hanover as Pat was finishing the first 90 minutes of his 3 hour long run. We had a big group-- Jack, Matt, Pat, Nick, Bob, Tim, & Konrad. Dan even went the first 90 minutes with Pat. We went out to the battlefield (no one wanted the quarry except me) and did an out&back to the end. The pace was very comfortable the whole time, and when Nick, Matt and Pat started to pull away and I saw that we were going 6:30s, I slowed down to keep it easy. Tim and I finished with Bob and Jack, although it was a little strange getting dropped on a run. There was no point in running any faster than I did though.
The weather wasn't the best, but it wasn't raining much. I was comfortable, if not a little too warm. Hopefully Shamrock will be something between what we've had the past few weeks. Last week it was warm, this week it is rainy. I'd like clear skies with low 40's, and NO wind! But we'll see how that works out on the board walk...
I went to pick up some new flats today, as you can see. They're awfully flashy, and they felt a little lighter in the store than I recall my others feeling. Of course I didn't try on my old ones to see, it's not worth the effort. I'll break them in Tuesday on the track.
68 for the week. Taper taper. Chomp.
